130 Little Londoners, One Big Partnership

We’ve got some brilliant news to share.

Thanks to the continued support of The Guinness Partnership, we’ll be able to support 130 more children in Lambeth with our one-to-one mentoring programme – helping them feel more confident, connected and ready for what’s next.

It’s not just a donation. It's a belief.

Belief in children who are navigating big life changes, like the move from primary to secondary school.

Belief in the power of showing up, consistently, with care.

And for us at The Kids Network – that belief means everything.

Why This Matters

We work with children aged 8–11 who are facing disadvantage and need someone in their corner. With support from Guinness, we’ll be able to keep matching trained, local mentors with children for weekly sessions that build confidence, resilience and a sense of possibility.

These sessions aren’t about grand plans or fixing problems. They’re about listening. Playing. Exploring London together.

They’re about being seen.

And the impact speaks for itself:

Over the past three years, we’ve supported 105 children in Lambeth through this programme. We’ve seen anxiety ease. Friendships blossom. Futures feel brighter.

A Note from Our CEO, Louise

“The need for early intervention has never been higher,” says Louise Johns-Shepherd, CEO of The Kids Network.

“We’re seeing more children in desperate need – but we’re also seeing the extraordinary impact a consistent, caring adult can have. We’re so grateful to The Guinness Partnership for helping us reach more children and offer the transformative power of one-to-one mentoring.”

Partnership in Action

We’re proud to partner with The Guinness Partnership – one of the UK’s largest housing associations – because they see community not just as a collection of homes, but as a space for children and families to grow, thrive and be supported.

Nikita Smith, Senior Community Partnership Manager at Guinness, told us:

“We’re really pleased to continue our partnership with The Kids Network to help train more mentors and reach more children. We know this will make a big difference to their lives.

What’s Next?

Over the next three years, 130 children in Lambeth will get the chance to feel a little more seen, heard and supported. Each one with their own story. Each one with potential waiting to be unlocked.

And we can’t wait to meet them.
