 About the Kids Network

The Kids Network is an award-winning mental health charity that provides tailored early intervention for 8–11-year-olds who face the most pervasive barriers to accessing the support they need.

We partner with over 50 primary schools in nine underserved boroughs to reach out to children in need through a programme of 1-2-1 mentoring.

Our volunteer mentors from the local community, work with children over the course of a year to help them build confidence and resilience and realise their potential.

Mentors get extensive safeguarding and mentoring training. The training is embedded in a trauma-informed and child-led approach to ensure the wellbeing of the child and greatest impact.

Since 2016, we’ve matched over 1,000 little Londoners with mentors, providing them with enriching and life changing experiences. With your help, The Kids Network aims to reach 1,000 more children over the next three years.

JOB PURPOSE

The Kids Network is looking for two passionate Programme Managers to join our dedicated Programme Delivery team to help us deliver our mission to support children across London to live the lives they deserve.

Currently focused on 9 of London’s 32 Boroughs, we are a well-established charity specialising in Child-led Early Intervention Mentoring, supporting children at a crucial time in their lives, in the lead up to and often during the transition from primary into secondary school.

Our growing team of 24 staff collaborates with schools, caregivers and mentors to establish additional protective factors in the lives of children aged 8-11. Founded in 2016, The Kids Network is a growing community of children and mentors, connecting through fun, friendship and hardship to reduce inequality.

With little Londoners experiencing an ever-increasing number of adverse childhood experiences, our work has never been more important. We want to see better connected communities where all children can thrive.

We take a trauma-informed approach to our work which means acknowledging the whole person, working with, not for, and supporting the provision of protective factors so that children’s resilience is developed.

Vital to our success, our Programme Managers are the glue that connects our organisation with the communities we serve.

ABOUT YOU
