The Kids Network is thrilled to share that our Managing Director, Natalie, completed the London Marathon in April 2024 and raised an impressive £1118 for our charity. This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity and encouragement of so many supporters. The Kids Network and Natalie would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, cheered, and supported her effort.
When we asked Natalie what the best part of the experience was – outside of crossing the finish line, of course! – Natalie said that the feeling of support, love and warmth from others was overwhelming and incredibly special. Natalie loved the feeling that she and all the supporters became one community, fundraising for the same wonderful cause and the belief that every child should be able to live the life they deserve.
At The Kids Network, we believe that community-led initiatives and challenge events are not just fun and engaging ways to raise funds; they are essential for fostering a sense of belonging and commitment to our cause.
Community fundraising brings people together, uniting them with a common purpose and creating a strong support network. It is inspiring to see how events like marathons, bake sales, charity walks can mobilise the community to take action. These activities do more than just raise money and awareness, they also build connections. And, of course, connection is one of The Kids Network’s core values.
We are always looking for people who want to get involved in fundraising for the charity and we can provide support and guidance along the way. Should you be interested, please reach out to our development officer Adam on, a.jack@thekidsnetwork.org.uk
