I’m Claire and I’m a Summer Intern at The Kids Network.  

I have been working on the fundraising team to help plan next week’s quiz event and the Summer Campaign. I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone on the TKN team. Everyone has been very helpful in making sure that I feel comfortable and am well-adjusted to my new position.  

Working on the Summer Campaign has been amazing, and I am so excited to see all of the fun activities the children will get to experience with their mentors. During the Summer Campaign, we have aimed to raise £20,000 to ensure that over 600 children in London can be placed with a mentor.  

Any amount of funds that are raised during this campaign will be matched by The Childhood Trust.  

The Kids Network is focused on building children’s confidence through the development of relationships with mentors. In 2020, 96% of children reported an increase in their confidence following the mentoring program. Everyone at The Kid’s Network is working their hardest to ensure that children in London build positive relationships and I am so happy to be a part of it.  

One of my favourite activities in the summer is going on walks with my friends. I hope that the little Londoners will get to experience this with their mentors and build lasting friendships. I am so excited to see what the summer holds for everyone involved in the Summer Campaign through The Kid’s Network.
